The Kolo: Women’s Cross Cultural Collaboration hosted the conference and included a visit with the Ahmica women war survivors.  Sheer bravery is needed to listen to their first person stories.   The Ahmica women war crimes survivor’s texts are passed on to future generations.  Trauma is transgenerational and impacts the future generations.   Research has shown the epigenetic properties found in traumatic events and catastrophic crisis.

The same day the Ahmica-Vitez Muslim war crimes survivors memorial service took place, the Croatian Catholic Church across the road celebrated Easter.  On April 16. 1993 150 Muslims young and old were massacred during the early call to prayer by Croatian military.
